Car-Free Earth Day in Chinatown (4/26/25)

Join Chinatown Partnership/BID to celebrate Car-Free Earth Day on Sat, April 26, 2025 from 10am to 4pm, in Chinatown. We'll be doing plantings at Kimlau Square, followed by performances and other fun activities at Pell Street.

Car-Free Earth Day is an annual car-free event hosted by NYC DOT. Programs will take place citywide, promoting activism and education surrounding climate change, sustainability, and other relevant topics. Car-Free Earth Day also marks the official start to NYC’s Open Streets and Public Space Programming season.

Lower East Side History Month (May 2025)

Lower East Side History Month was created with the hope that a collective celebration of our stories and people would strengthen our sense of community. Honoring the history of this neighborhood together is a key part of working collaboratively to sustain an inclusive Lower East Side—despite ongoing waves of change and displacement. Throughout the month, cultural and community organizations, small businesses, and residents will host a variety of public events, exhibits, tours, and festivals.
