We continue our Lenten journey together with the beautiful liturgy of the Holden Evening Service. Come to sing and pray together or just enjoy a time of fellowship before service.

It's that time of year again! We're asking for $15 donations for the display of lilies, that will adorn our sanctuary on Easter Sunday (April 21).
The sign up is on the office bulletin board. Checks should be made out St. Mark Lutheran Church with the memo line: FLOWERS.
The deadline for donations is April 14.

Send Easter greetings with ELCA Good Gifts
Our Easter cards are back! Donate by midnight on Monday,  April 8, and you can customize a card for your loved one(s) and have it sent to their home in time for Easter - on us! You can also print or email a card at any time. All card options are available after check-out.

In preparation for the egg hunt on Easter morning, please consider donating individually wrapped candy. Although we have many plastic eggs, we are in need of candy to fill the eggs. Please leave donations in the office. Thank you!

Please join us in the church library each Monday during Lent
April 8, 15

Our discussion is based on the book  Lasting Hope: Devotions for Lent 2019: Pocket Edition. Each day during Lent this book can serve as your personal devotional guide and then weekly we will gather to share our insights and pray together. We will read the book of Psalms that gives us "a realistic look at the journey of faith for individuals and a community."

When possible PACEM has quietly provided camping equipment, tents, sleeping bags and rain gear to those we know will need it most on the streets.

Currently our back up supply is empty. If you feel so inclined, we could use your help with donations of sleeping bags. 2 - 3 person tents and umbrellas. We will be sure they go to those who will use them most. Our last night of the season is April 12.

There is digging and planting and cutting and large amount of work that you might have noticed right at the front door of the church. Our sewer pipes are old and needed to be replaced after we had to unclog the toilets repeatedly. It is indeed a big issue when we have many outside groups, preschool teachers and our congregation using it. It was interesting to learn that we had three different kinds of pipes underground due to the many repairs before. We also at the same area installed new sewer pipes for our ADA bathroom currently under construction. What is left is to line the pipe under the street and we will be in the clear for many years to come.

Tell Us Your Favorite Hymns

We are collecting hymn numbers and titles that we can sing during the summer. We all have favorite hymns that we just love to hear and have maybe missed for a long time. Put a note in the offering plate or email: office@stmarklutheran.org .
