Thanks to the amazing support of parents and PIE supporters, as well as support from amazing local businesses, Teacher Appreciation Week is off to a great start, as we try to give back a little to the AMHS teachers and staff who give so much to our scholars all year long!

Seniors are reminded to wear their college t-shirts on Thursday, May 1, as we celebrate the next steps of your academic career! We will have a photographer taking keepsake photos, lunch, and lots of raffle prizes! This event is sponsored by PIE and Kickin' Chicken. | | Students: Bring Money for Food Trucks at the AP Picnic! | | | | As students prepare for AP exams, we look forward to the AP Picnic this Friday, May 2 during the lunch period. | | CCSD To Host Meeting for Constituent District 4 Families | | |
Constituent District 4 Families and Staff are invited to attend the CCSD Constituent District 4 Community Meetings on Thursday, May 1, at 6 pm in the cafeteria at R.B. Stall High School, located at 3625 Ashley Phosphate Road, North Charleston, SC 29418.
At the meeting, information will be presented and feedback from attendees will be gathered about the Phase VI One-cent Sales Tax that funds capital improvements including new school buildings, school renovations, maintenance, school technology improvements, and security. The goal of this initiative is to ensure students have access to modern school facilities that foster higher morale, reduce absenteeism, and enhance student effort and achievement.

Future members of the Class of 2029, as well as transfer students, received notice of their AMHS acceptance last Friday! We cannot wait to welcome them to Magnet. If you know a new Raptor faily, share this email with them and encourage them to subscribe to the Raptor Report!
New students can get started on their AMHS gear and for all orders placed by 12 pm on May 7 will be available for pickup at New Raptor Night that evening! Order at this link!

Share it with the Raptor Report here. | | | | Andrew Novak '13 (pictured on the right) earned his first win on the PGA Tour on Sunday, alongside his event partner Ben Griffin, at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans. This victory came a week after his second place finish at the RBC Heritage Golf Tournament on Hilton Head Island. Congratulations! | | | | In March, Avraham Lieberman '26 and Vedant Parmar '26 won the South Carolina American Water Works Association prize at the Lowcountry Science Fair. This week, they received their prize checks. They plan to continue their research and compete with it again next year. If any students are interested in competing with research projects, please contact Ms. Metzner-Roop. | |

The Meeting Street Scholarship Fund provides up to $10,000 per year in college scholarships for high-achieving South Carolina students with a demonstrated financial need (who will be attending an eligible South Carolina college/university).
We're accepting scholarship applications for the 2024-25 school year from January - May. Apply now at this link.

Volunteers are needed for the Walk for Autism on April 26, 2025 from 7 am to 1:30 pm. Any students wishing to volunteer can come for part of the hours or all. If interested in volunteering please contact Rose O'Neal at 843-553-1316 or rrzoneal@hotmail.com
Volunteers will assist in several tasks: setting up tables and tents; manning jump castles, food stations, silent auction tables, merchandise table, ticket sales and at the end of the event breaking down tables and tents along with clean up.

The Raptor Report is published weekly by AMHS PIE on Wednesdays during the school year except for holiday breaks.
Faculty, students, and parents are encouraged to submit articles and/or pictures of AMHS events, honors, and needs.
