Attend Parenting in the Age of Social Media

D93 Parent Event on 4/8

As a reminder, parents are encouraged to save the date for CCSD93’s Parenting in the Age of Social Media presentation on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the district’s Administrative Offices (230 Covington Drive, Bloomingdale) or live online at www.ccsd93.com/sm. Spanish translators will be available on site and the live stream will also be archived for later viewing.


School Resource Officers Phil Jaffe of the Bloomingdale Police Department and Tom Andrejevic of the Carol Stream Police Department will share:

  • Valuable insights on the lasting impact of a child’s online behavior.
  • Potential social media pitfalls that every parent should be aware of.
  • Key tips and practical information to help children navigate today’s digital world safely and responsibly.
  • A Q&A session.

STEAM Camp Returns This Summer:

Register Starting 4/7!

CCSD93's STEAM Camp is returning this summer! Current 1st-7th graders can register to attend for the week to experience immersive science, technology, engineering, arts and math activities taught by CCSD93 teachers.


It will take place June 23-27 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. each day at Cloverdale School. The cost is $120 and includes a t-shirt. Students who receive free meals through the National School Lunch Program will be eligible for a fee waiver. There are a limited number of seats, which will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Bussing will be provided to and from each CCSD93 elementary and middle school.


Registration opens April 7 at 9:00 a.m. and runs through April 18 at www.ccsd93.com/STEAM. Save the date to register then!

Donate to Community-Wide Food Drive

at D93 Schools 4/7-4/11

Throughout this coming week of April 7-11, CCSD93’s schools will continue to ask families to donate to the Community-Wide Food Drive, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Carol Stream. It helps to restock local food pantries that serve all of CCSD93’s communities.


Please consider to donating nonperishable food items and other household essentials like toiletries and diapers to help neighbors in need.

No School 4/18 - Need Childcare?

As a reminder, there will be no school on Friday, April 18, 2025, as it is a student non-attendance day. If you need childcare, our partners at the Carol Stream Park District's ActivKids program have you covered! Visit this website to view availability and to register.

CCSD93’s 2025 Summer Band & Orchestra Camp will take place June 16, 17, 18 and 20 at Stratford Middle School. Registration opens on April 7 for current band and orchestra students. Save the date!

CCSD93’s partners at Glenbard Parent Series (GPS) provide terrific, free programming for today's parents. Even though it has Glenbard in the title, all CCSD93 families are invited to attend GPS events. This year, GPS is offering an incredible slate of speakers. 4/10 Board of Education Meeting Preview

CCSD93’s next Board of Education meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 10 at Jay Stream Middle School, 283 El Paso Lane in Carol Stream. Prior to the meeting, at 6:30 p.m., Board Vice President Dr. Kristen Davia will hold a Board Listening Post, which is a time when community members are welcome to stop in and speak face-to-face with a Board member. All community members are invited to attend the meeting. The following are among the agenda items.

  • Staff members from Jay Stream Middle School will highlight strategies and methods the school community is using to help students unlock their potential.
  • Members of CCSD93’s Dual Language Committee will make recommendations regarding the future of the program.
  • The Board will vote on the approval of the amended 2024-25 CCSD93 school year calendar and set the last day of school for this school year.
  • The Board will vote on the approval of a memorandum of understanding with the Carol Stream Support Staff Association. 
  • The Board will vote on the approval of employee and Board member conference cost reports.
  • The Board will vote on the approval of proposed amendments to the DuPage/West Cook Intergovernmental Agreement
  • The Board will vote on the approval of an update to CCSD93’s administrative salary and benefit package.
  • The Board will review the job description for CCSD93’s Bookkeeper position.
  • The Board will vote on the approval of the Personnel Report, which includes a number of staff position offerings for next school year.
