"How to Manage Pressure While Developing Personal Growth and Achievement"
An evening with Caleb Campbell here
Monday, April 12, 6:30 pm
Pre-register for the webinar here

With the digital world creating a fractured, image-based field that vies for so much of our attention and promotes perfection, it is harder than ever for our pre-teens/ teens to navigate their inner worlds and promote self-care and awareness while trying to motivate themselves through all levels of personal achievement. Because of the continued challenges facing our Hillview community during the pandemic and the pressures to still live up to normal life expectations, the Hillview PTO welcomes Caleb Campbell, West Point graduate and former Kansas City Chief linebacker, nationally known for his work around student mental health and resilience to help us work through motivating our lives high achievements and disappointments while balancing our mental health and self care. This Conversation Chat is a way for both parents and middle school students to attend together to understand balance and the pressure we both feel to succeed especially during difficult times.

Caleb Campbell is a West Point graduate, former army officer, and ex-NFL linebacker. After a college football career at West Point full of accolades and awards, Caleb made history when he was selected by the Detroit Lions in the 2008 NFL Draft. He is the American dream that most students strive to become, but it wasn’t until he was cut for the last time by the Kansas City Chiefs that he was forced to face the hard truth: He had a life of strength on the outside but internally he was falling apart.
Despite living out his childhood dream and having a life many would envy, a day never went by where Caleb felt he had found his place in this world. Having lived through rejection, depression and thoughts of suicide, Caleb understands the pressure that your students are facing. He has endured an internal struggle to hide his truth, and has overcome it by finding his voice. Caleb is a leading mental health advocate for teens and student athletes around the world, and has been serving as Teen Truth’s here #1 mental health speaker since 2018. Learn more and watch his speaker reel here.

The Hillview PTO is excited to welcome Caleb to Hillview virtually!

This year, we will show unity and come together as one school team, with the goal of raising $25,000. And our donation page is live and ready to roll! You can begin donating immediately here!
