See you this Sunday at 10 AM for our Annual Meeting to Elect New Vestry
Our Vestry is the governing body that helps pray, discern, and lead us into mission of inviting, growing, and serving. Twelve people serve 3-year terms on the vestry. On Sunday, December 2, at 10:00 AM, we will have an annual meeting to elect a slate of four new vestry members: Philip Cantone, Kay Holmes, Grayson Johnson, and Laura Lafayette. All adult communicants in good standing, 16 years and older, may vote. You must be present to vote. Please make plans to attend this important meeting!
Prepare your hearts, and our campus, for Advent by making wreaths this Saturday
As we prepare for Christ's birth and the season of Advent, we will gather to assemble wreaths to adorn our campus. This tradition of hanging greens on our doors serves as a symbol of everlasting life and helps us prepare for the season of hopeful anticipation as we await the Christ child.

All are welcome to gather in the Church House Kitchen on Saturday, December 1 at 10 AM to assemble wreaths, enjoy fellowship, and then place wreaths around campus. All ages and ability levels are welcome! Contact Rev. Shirley Smith Graham with any questions.
Advent Party for all ages this Sunday at 5 PM
The Children's Ministry Team is hosting a very special First Sunday program and ALL are welcome! We will gather Sunday, December 2, 5:00-6:30 PM. The program for the evening will be for all generations to prepare for the Coming of Christ in the Season of Advent. We will have activities for all ages, stories, and cookie decorating. You are encouraged, though not required, to bring sugar cookies to share for decorating. Contact Rev. Richard Pelkey with any questions.
Purchase a hand-made ornament and give the gift of education & empowerment
Thanks to your ongoing support, the students at Hope and Resurrection Secondary School in South Sudan are becoming the leaders their country so desperately needs. Beginning December 2 the Giving Tree will be in the milling area of our sanctuary. Take a handmade ornament from the tree, make a financial contribution, and become part of this tremendously successful project that is changing lives in South Sudan. Contact Rev. Richard Pelkey with any questions.
Advent begins this weekend! Click here for ways to grow and serve as we await the Christ Child.
Help us share Christmas Love with the families of the Sophie House on December 8
The Sophie House -- just down the street from us -- helps single women and their children who have suffered personal loss, divorce, complex health issues, poverty, unemployment or under-employment, and many others. On December 8, you will have the opportunity to help these women and families experience some Christmas Love!

Sophie House clients will be invited to a special Christmas Celebration at the Garage . Before the party, CCE'ers and other community partners will be able to purchase gifts. Then, mothers and children will ‘shop’ for each other discreetly, wrap presents, enjoy food, and play fun games!

Volunteers are needed to buy gifts, provide lunch, help with gift-wrapping, and play games with the families. Log in to Realm and click Events to sign up today and contact Adam Williams with any questions.
