EXEMPLARY EDUCATOR AWARDS

and

STUDENT OF THE YEAR 

Dear Colleagues,

There are only a four days left for Tom Krucli to receive your CAWS 2025/2026 Membership payment if you wish to select a CAWS Student of the Year or submit nominations for 2026 CAWS Educator of the Year. CAWS membership for eligibility for these nomiations will close on March 25 and all nomination applications with supporting documents are due by April 8, 2026.

Membership in CAWS is extended to all IB authorized and candidate schools in the state of California. The annual membership is $200.00 for each authorized programme and $100.00 for candidate schools.

• Eligibility to nominate staff or a student for an award or scholarship requires current CAWS membership. Membership payments must be received by CAWS Financial Advisor, Tom Krucli, 32 Korite, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688 no later than March 25, 2026.

• Check your membership status and eligibility on our website.

• Reminder - a PO is not a substitute for a payment. Payments are made by a credit card charge or deposited check. As payments are processed by CAWS, your Programme Membership will be posted on our website.

• Exemplary Educator nominations and SOTY Application submission deadline is April 8, 2026.

CAWS Exemplary Educator Awards

The Exemplary IB Educator Award recognizes outstanding educators who strengthen their school and programme. One $500.00 award is presented within each programme: PYP, MYP, DP and CP.

Nominators (principal or coordinator) must submit:

• CAWS recommendation form: a typed statement (500 words max.) illustrating why you are recommending this educator for a CAWS IB Educator Award.

• Each winner will receive an engraved plaque in addition to their award.

2025-2026 CAWS Exemplary Educator Award

CAWS 2026 Student of the Year Scholarship

Each CAWS member school may honor one IB student per membership. This award recognizes a student who best exemplifies the values of your school's IB Programme.

Student nominees from IB-authorized programmes will receive $200.00.



CAWS 2026 Student of the Year Application 

CAWS Educator Award winners will be contacted for completion of photo/video release forms. Schools with winning applications will be notified by early May. 

If possible, we ask that the award be announced or presented at a school awards ceremony.

We would appreciate a photo of your award recipient for the CAWS website. Send photos or articles celebrating your recipient to cawsedir@gmail.com.

Please note: a signed photo release is required for any images shared.
