Canadian County 4-H Newsletter
"...Times change, and so must I..." ~The Doctor

Times are changing, and technology is a huge part of that! Google has just made a tremendous contribution to 4-H, so let's embrace it. Most schools and businesses already use Google Drive. Liz receives many invitations to google drives and docs, so we have changed and are LEARNING to adapt in our office as well. Here's what's new....

  1. Canadian County 4-H now has its own email for REGISTRATIONS & FORMS ONLY! (registrations, award forms, check requests, etc.)This is the email that you can use to share Google docs, folders, sheets, etc.
  2. Questions and correspondence still need to be emailed to Liz as before.. Your privacy is still protected.
  3. No late registrations still apply! You must abide by the due date listed on the registration form! This new email address will be used by Liz and the office admins, Shellie and Carisa. It will provide a more open line of communication so that if Liz is out of the office for an event or training your registration is still received.

The new email is

Gmail accounts can still share items with this account. We hope everyone enjoys these changes as much as we have so far. Thank you all and have a great rest of July! ~Liz

4HOnline Enrollment OPENS August 1, 2019!!!

This year the State 4-H Office decided to do 4HOnline Rollover in July so they can open Enrollment up August 1, 2019!!! This will help your enrollment line up with your grade in school. However, you must re-enroll for the 2019-2020 4-H Year to be qualified to show in the Jr Livestock show, enter 4-H Exhibits indoors, and compete in the 4-H/FFA Livestock Judging and Quiz Bowl Contests. See more details in below newsletter segments.

For the 2019-2020 4-H Year, all Enrollments MUST BE 100% COMPLETED within 30 days of submission, this does not mean enrollment closes after 30 days. This includes payment and documents for members! This also includes ALL Volunteer training's and forms turned into the office to be uploaded for Volunteers! If these things are not done in 30 days enrollment will be sent back for you to resubmit. The State 4-H Office is closely monitoring 4HOnline and they are no longer allowing members or volunteers to "sit" in Pending Status. The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics has a program in conjunction with Project Linus. They give backpacks to kids who are taken into DHS custody due to their parents being detained due to drug use. In each backpack is a blanket so they have feel comforted and wrapped in love. Oklahoma 4-H has a goal to make 400 blankets using our hands for larger service. We would like to see which district can make the most blankets!

PS-- Yukon 4-H Club has fabric material that they are willing to donate if anyone is interested.
