JUNE

5th:

• Last day to order small livestock DNA envelopes (For state entries)

10th:

• Fiber Art workshop St. John 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the St. John Extension Office 
• Be on the lookout for sign-ups there will be 20 spots available.
• Transportation from Kinsley will be provided.
• Spaces Available: Sign Up Genius Workshop

11th:

• Leather Workshop 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the St. John Extension Office 
• Be on the lookout for sign-ups there will be 20 spots available.

• Public Fashion Style Revue @ 7:00 pm St. John Annex Community Room

6th:

• EDCO Fair Set-Up @ 4 pm Kinsley Fairgrounds

2025 County Fairs

4-H Fair entries are due on Friday, June 13th. Don’t sweat it! Sure, it’s considered unlucky, but we’re here to help. We’ll provide all the forms and websites you need to turn this scary date into a winning entry!

You can check out the Fairbooks online at website (click here) and there are printed copies in the Extension office too.

Welcome to Fair-a-dise at the Edwards County Fair!

EDWARDS COUNTY FAIR REMINDER

Fair Clean-Up & Premium Money---

• Participation in pre-fair and post-fair clean-up is mandatory. If you cannot attend, you must explain your absence at a Fairboard meeting for approval, or you will forfeit your premium money.

• The last Fairboard meeting before the fair is on June 8th at 6:30 p.m. in the Fairbuilding.

2025 Fair Concession & Dessert Sign up---CLICK HERE

• Wednesday, July 9 - Lewis 4H Club
• Thursday, July 10 - Northern Star 4H Club
• Friday, July 11 - Trenton Workers 4H Club

Please remember the Dessert expectations:

• Each family needs to sign up for at least one dessert
• Each dessert must be homemade, not store-bought
• Desserts must be at the Concession Stand no later than 9:00 am on the day that it is meant to be sold
• Bar cookies, Brownies, etc. are to be UNCUT
• Cream pies are asked to be made the night before they are sold and need to be completely set up.
• Cakes are not to be sheetcakes, but instead thicker 9 x 13 pan pieces.

Non-Terminal Auctions

• Due to the recent State 4-H rule change regarding auctions, it is now a possibility for a 4-Her to take their animal through the sale ring and then continue on with that animal to a State Show or KJLS Show.
