4-H Enrollment Late Fee Waived - This Year Only
|
With so much uncertainty this year, we have decided to suspend the re-enrollment late fee that would normally be imposed after December 1st. If you are choosing to re-enroll, please still do so as early as you can so we are able to determine enrollment status.
Please remember the deadline to enroll/re-enroll and be eligible to participate in the 2021 Arapahoe County Fair is April 1, 2021. There will be no exceptions to this rule for any reason.

We are working with Club leaders as well as the state 4-H office to attempt to begin holding in-person club meetings once again. Due to the spike in COVID cases in Arapahoe County, this has been pushed back further than we hoped. We are still trying to seek approval while keeping safety of our members and families our primary concern. Please be looking for communication from your club leader as well as checking the E-Newsletter for updates on in-person meetings.

Horse In Need of a New Home
|
A lady named Miranda reached out to us. She is trying to rehome her grandfather's horse. It was suggested to her to reach out to a local 4-H extension office. The horse is a gentle 25yo gelding who has taught several children how to ride. Please contact Miranda directly at: mirandadepriest@gmail.com.
Please note that the horse in the picture is NOT the horse that is trying to be rehomed. That is a stock image.

Face to Face Programming Request Policy
We appreciate your patience as we work to continue to offer high quality 4-H programming in Arapahoe County. As of May 16, 2020, CSU Extension has directed that we will continue virtual delivery for a vast majority of our programming. For those activities that are not able to be completed virtually, such as shooting sports practices (with certified shooting sports leaders), horse levels testing, horse practices, dog practices, and livestock clinics, CSU Extension will permit in-person activities that comply with all federal, state, and local regulations and public health guidance. At this time, this does NOT include 4-H club meetings, those will still need to be held virtually at this time. Please email our 4-H staff if you have questions about specific activities.
If you are interested in hosting an event, you must contact Arapahoe County Extension Staff at least TWO WEEKS prior to the event. This will allow for the office to develop a program plan request to be submitted to CSU Extension Administration and State 4-H. All activities must be submitted to CSU Extension administration prior to the event, 4-H staff will work with leaders on the required documentation for these programs. These activities will also adhere to CSU policies in support of public health and safety. Our ultimate goal is to remain relevant, strong partners within our Colorado communities, while also supporting their health and safety.
As part of Arapahoe County Government’s gradual facilities reopening plan, the Arapahoe County CSU Extension Office is now open by APPOINTMENT ONLY. We will not be able to accept walk-in clients at this time. Please email individual 4-H staff members to set up an appointment. Thank you!
