Arapahoe County Dates and Deadlines Document
In order to keep our 4-H families and volunteers informed on 4-H dates and deadlines, the 4-H team has created a document containing an updated list of county-wide dates and deadlines for the 4-H year. This document will be continuously updated and a link will be included in the newsletters and on the Arapahoe County 4-H Member Resources webpage. Click on the image to the left to view the document. Highlighted dates are dates that have been changed or are new.

  • Dog classes with Janele and Briana Caldwell started on Wednesday, October 27 at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds. She would be happy to provide more details on times. 
Attention Cat Project Members!
Please make sure to enter in your Cat ID information in 4HOnline. That includes pictures and vaccination records. Without that information it is considered incomplete. Please remember that members need to be 8 and older as of December 31 to enroll in animal projects. The deadline to submit your animal ID info is Saturday, May 1. Click on the image to the right for instructions.

Arapahoe County Dog Fun Match
You are invited to participate in the annual Arapahoe County 4-H Spring Dog Fun Match! It will be held on Saturday, May 7 at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Judging will begin at 9 a.m. Click on the image to the right to go to our online registration form.

All payments will be made on the day of the show at the event. If you pre-register by 4/29 the cost will be $18 per exhibitor. Without pre-registration the cost will be $20 per exhibitor. We look forward to seeing you all at our match on May 7th at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds.

Cat Workshop
Our own Shaylen Florez has set up a Cat Workshop with the wonderful Marlena Griesse! Marlena is a 4-H Agent in Otero County and is also the State 4-H Cat Show Superintendent. She knows all things related to cats and showmanship. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to ask questions, learn more about cats and showmanship.

Shooting Sports
Shooting Sports Information 2021-2022

Due to increased interest in the 4-H Shooting Sports Project, the Shooting Sports Committee and leaders will be holding an additional safety meeting before practice this Sunday, April 10th. If you have not attended a safety meeting yet, this will be your last opportunity and you will not be able to participate in practices or the county shoot if you do not attend. Please see below for the details of the safety meeting:

Sorbers Ranch – April 10th – safety meeting begins promptly at 12:00 pm, practice begins at 1:00 pm
  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the safety meeting to check in

Calling all pizza lovers! Join Arapahoe County 4-H for a pizza party camp! Learn to make your own pizza dough, try out new tasty toppings, and make several different pizzas!
  • When: Friday, May 13th & Saturday, May 14th
  • Who: Youth ages 10-12
  • Where: CSU Extension, Arapahoe County - 6934 S. Lima St, Centennial, CO 80112
  • Cost: $35 (plus Eventbrite fees) - includes all food, equipment, and camp materials

FairEntry

FairEntry will open for online entries on June 1, 2022. June 15 is the deadline for fair entries, with a late deadline of June 16 - 22 with a $25.00 fee per 4-H Exhibitor.
