Test Your Skills—Participate in The Homestead Contests and Challenges at the Arapahoe County Fair
Are you Fit as a Feline? Can you vertically jump as high as a barn cat or a mountain lion? Record your jump and compare your skills to cats and your fellow humans. This challenge will take place continuously Noon-8:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday in the western Exhibition Hall.
Do you like jigsaw puzzles? Join us for the Youth Team Jigsaw Puzzle Contest on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the western Exhibition Hall. Maximum of 4 people on a team. Members must be less than 18 years of age. Teams will be given the same puzzle and will compete to see who can finish the puzzle first. Great contest for 4-H clubs, friends, or families.
Are you 18 and older and want to participate in a Team Jigsaw Puzzle Contest? Join us for the Adult Team Jigsaw Puzzle Contest on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the western Exhibition Hall. Maximum of 4 people on a team. At least one team member must be 18 or older.
Peeled many potatoes? Join us for the Longest Potato Peel Contest on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 1 p.m. on The Homestead’s Front Porch. You will be given a peeler and a potato. In a given time limit, you will try to peel the longest, continuous potato peel.
Do you know how to knit or crochet? Join us for the fun Fastest Fingers in the West Knitting and Crochet Contest on Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. on The Homestead’s Front Porch. You will be given yarn, knitting needles, or a crochet hook and cast on stitches prior to the start of the contest. The winner will knit or crochet the most number of rows in the given time.
