On May 20th, the Denver 4-H STEM AmeriCorps member will be offering a digital escape room experience: “EGYPT ESCAPE”. Because this is an online activity, they would love for youth in counties across the state to participate with them! Egypt Escape is an online STEM based activity where participants will learn various STEM concepts associated with the Egyptian pyramids as they navigate through a series of clues to solve puzzles and unlock the mysteries of the pyramids. Join them for their FREE digital Escape Room activity, EGYPT ESCAPE, and experience Egypt like you have never done before!
Some important things to know and share:
When is it: May 20th at 4 p.m. – participants will have about 30 minutes to escape the room!
Who can attend: ANY YOUTH IN COLORADO between the ages of 8 and 12. The activities are geared towards this age range however siblings and other family members are welcome to join as well! Space is limited to 20 slots.
How much does it cost: There is no cost, it is FREE!
What will you need: Just a computer and the internet! A computer is the best device as this activity will be delivered through Zoom and use Google Slides.
Where: Online – participants will receive a link once they have registered.
Participants can register anytime between now and May 19th by clicking on the image above. Registration will remain open until they fill all 20 slots. They will also be sharing soon on their social media so stay tuned – you can find them on Instagram@denver4h or on our CSU Denver Extension Facebook page.

2021 Arapahoe County Fair
Heads up 4-H Families! The time to enter your projects for the 2021 Fair is approaching. FairEntry will open for entries on 6/1/21.
Once you have submitted your entries, you must confirm that they were received with Jean. When the time comes, you can email her at [email protected] to confirm your entries. We don't want anyone to miss out because they thought they completed all the steps and didn't really get them all done.
Attention FCS and General 4-H Families!
Please know that we are planning for plan A where the FCS and General judging will take place in-person with safety protocols that follow Tri-County Health requirements. This is exciting news for us as we were unable to do in-person last year and had to turn to virtual. I know that the judges are looking forward to getting back to our county. Please make sure that you are working on your projects and not waiting until the last minute to complete before fair. You will need to make sure and get your entries submitted on Fair Entry beginning June 1!

Calling all Beginning Clothing STEAM 1, Clothing STEAM 2, Advanced Clothing STEAM 3, Recycled Clothing, Upcycle Your Style, Artistic Clothing, Buymanship, wearable Heritage Arts projects and Cloverbud members! Please join us for the 2021 Arapahoe County Fashion Revue. An email was sent to eligible members from Shaylen with all the info, but if you need it again, click on the image to the right and scroll down to Resources. The deadline to enter is 6/18/21.

REMINDER: Members enrolled in any livestock project will need to complete an MQA training if the 2020-2021 4-H year is their first year in a new age group. Please click on the correct link above to access the MQA Training you need to complete. Members will need to complete the quiz using the link at the end of the presentation with a score of 80% or above. Please send an mail with a copy of the conformation screen showing the passing score to [email protected]
The MQA Training must be completed no later than June 1st to be eligible to compete at the 2021 Arapahoe County Fair

Urban Ranchers Day Camp

Join us for a fun filled ag adventure for youth ages 8-13.
The Urban Ranchers Day Camp brings the farm to urban kids. Youth learn first-hand about agriculture, livestock, and animal care and husbandry. Youth will learn how to care for and handle several animals throughout the camp - such as chickens, cows, horses, goats, sheep, and llamas. Camp counselors will lead daily games and projects which will help youth explore where their food comes from. Camp registration is $100 and limited to 15 youth.
