IMPORTANT - RE-OPENING PROCEDURES - PLEASE READ!!
The Arapahoe County CSU Extension Office will be closed due to the Independence Day holiday on Monday, July 5th.
We will be re-opening to the public on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.
There will be a few changes in how the "walk-in" procedure will work. All walk-in clients will enter through the Open Spaces door (Suite A) where Crystal will greet you. Both of our offices will be open Monday - Thursday although staff availability may vary. Both offices will be closed to the public on Fridays as that is a designated work from home day for all Open Spaces staff.
If you are just needing to drop something off, an appointment is not necessary. You may drop your item(s) off with Crystal (or drop them through the mail slot in their door if it's after hours or on weekends) and she will make sure we get them.
If you need to have something signed or you need to meet with someone in person, we still recommend that you make appointments with us as our days/times in the office will vary. The County is allowing staff to still do an in office/work from home hybrid although we will be in the office more now. Please email staff members to set up appointments. Our email addresses remain the same as they have been listed in the previous year's worth of newsletters. Once you have an appointment set up with one of us, please enter through the Open Spaces door (Suite A) and check in with Crystal. She will call the person you are here to see and we will walk over there and get you and bring you back to our side of the building.

Jean Has a New Location in Our Building
|
Jean has moved off the front desk in our office. She now has an office down the hall from Shay and Ethan!
We will be getting a new admin. at some point in the not-too-distant future who will be located at the front desk. This person will support our Horticulture department, our Family & Consumer Science Agent and our director, Tim. They will also take over some of the general office admin duties so Jean can concentrate more on 4-H support and doing In School, After School and Summer STEM programming with Claudia once again.
Due to this move, Jean's office phone number has changed. Her direct line is now 303-738-7954. Of course, you can also still call our main line at 303-730-1920 and leave a message for her as well. Her email address is still the same.

2021 Arapahoe County Fair
Attention FCS and General 4-H Families!
For those that entered their projects for Fair, we will be working on scheduling interviews for FCS/GEN exhibitors the week of July 6. Once we have finalized the interview slots in Excel, we will make sure to send an email to the 4-H families so that you can check on your time(s). Please note that the email will not be sent out until Monday, July 12. We will have display cards available for the projects at check-in on Monday, 7/19. They will not be mailed to you this year. On Monday, July 19 the judging will take place in Exhibition Hall A (see map below). Please watch for signage. We will have a waiting area set up and with more space. Please know that if you feel more comfortable wearing a mask please do so. At this time Tri-County health is not requiring masks but it’s encouraged to still wear them indoors.
Fair Tickets
As in years past, each 4-H member who exhibits at Fair will receive a green wristband that will grant them admission to the Fair. These do not include the carnival. Jean will be getting those together and they will be handed out at exhibit check-in.
If you wish to purchase any Parent/Guardian Season Passes (with up to 2 free season parking passes), Daily Parking Passes or General Fair Admission Tickets, please click here and scroll down to the bottom portion of the page. Those are not being handled by the Extension Office this year.

Organizational Leaders - Club Chartering will be coming up soon. All Club Chartering documents can be found on the State website by clicking here.

Your club or committee’s chartering documents must be emailed (or received in the office if you mail them) to Jean at jwalton@arapahoegov.com by August 31st . If your club dissolves, please fill out the Club Dissolution Form and also note that we have to have a statement from the bank showing your club account has been closed and has a zero balance. If your club doesn't have a bank account, just include a note that there was no previous bank account.
