Horse

Please click on the image to the left for info on the Arapahoe County 4-H Horse Project and upcoming events!

Our Horse Committee meets the third Monday each month via Zoom (meeting ID: 958 0664 2659). Meetings start at 7:30 PM. Youth are encouraged to attend as well. Our next meeting is soon, so please feel free to join us.

Levels System

Our families did a wonderful job with the levels system this year. Thank you everyone for helping one another.

Remember to check out the Colorado 4-H Horse Resources page for more information on the levels program, helpful equine webinars, and more. There is some great stuff out there.

***Youth and families, this is another reminder that you will need to have your English or Western Level 1 (both the written and riding test) and pass the Gymkhana Competency test to show in Gymkhana events next year.

If you have multiple horses, you do not need to retake the Level 1 or 2 test on each horse. However, each horse/rider pair needs to take the Competency test. This means if you ID'd multiple horses, you will want to pass your competency test on each horse.

It is the rider's responsibility to schedule testing. Please plan ahead and let us know if you have questions. We are all navigating the levels changes together, so please do not hesistate to reach out to us.***
