Save the date! 4-H/FFA Branding Party
Friday, May 18, 5:30 – 8:00 PM
Douglas County Fairgrounds – Pavilion Parking Area
Make plans to join us for a branding party. Youth will be branding boards for the 4-H and FFA Parade Float. This event is open to
all 4-H and FFA members, including Cloverbuds.
If you have your own brand, bring it to add to the float. For youth without brands, we will have brand inspectors there to temporarily approve 4-H and FFA members' brands. Pizza and drinks will be provided. Please RVSP by e-mailing Claudia at

APRIL 30th FINAL 4-H DEADLINE

The final deadline for enrollment in 4-H is April 30 at 5:00 PM. In order to be enrolled in 4-H, youth must be
enrolled in 4Honline.com,
enrolled in a general project (livestock, horse, dog, llama, and shooting sports deadlines were April 2 cat deadline is April 15), AND
have paid enrollment fees. April 30th is also the deadline for:
- Swine ID forms due to the Extension Office. These can be dropped off with the extra button that was issued to you for tags.
- ID Deadline for Horse, Dog, Cat, Llama, Breeding Sheep, & Breeding Goat. These need to be uploaded in 4-H Online.

T-Shirt Design Contest
Open to ALL 4-H Members!
We invite all 4-H Members to submit a design for the front of the Colorado State Shooting Sports Team T-Shirts for 2018. The design must be:
- Black and white
- Emailed as a PDF to [email protected] OR
- Dropped off to the CSU Extension Office
- Deadline is April 30th
The winner will receive a FREE T-Shirt, featuring your design!

4-H Staff Availability

Tina, Claudia, and Mary will be unavailable from Monday, April 9th through Thursday, April 12th due to training. The office will be closed on Tuesday, April 10th from 10 am - 2 pm due to limited staffing. Please call or email Dani with any questions during this time. Thanks!

Shooting Sports Parent and Member Meeting

All leaders, members, and parents are strongly encouraged to attend. We will be covering guidelines, county and state shoot information, and will answer any questions you may have.
We also encourage all of our leaders to attend, as important information on the county shoot entry, county shoot rules, and state shoot rules.

SWINE ID & TAG INFORMATION

Swine tags are now available at the Extension Office! All swine are self-tagged by 4-H Members. Your swine must be tagged by April 30th.
Swine ID Forms are also due to the Extension Office by April 30th. You will receive the ID Form when you pick up the tags, but a digital version is at the link to the left if needed.

Douglas County 4-H Horse Camp
Horse Camp, June 5 – 7, Douglas County Fairgrounds
Registration Deadline is May 11
Space is limited
Make plans to join us for horse camp! Our 4-H Horse Camp is a day camp that runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Horse camp provides 4-H members with clinic style skills, training in hunt seat, western, trail and gymkhana. Each day will focus on horsemanship skills. We will also have educational programming and fun team building activities!

Horse Form Requirements - Due by April 30th, 5:00 PM
|
Animal Care & Housing Form - ALL members taking a Horse or Livestock project MUST turn in this form to the Extension Office, whether the animal is housed on their property or not. This can be dropped off or emailed to [email protected]. This does NOT have to be uploaded in 4H Online.

Douglas County 4-H Code of Show Ring Ethics Form - Each horse member and a parent must sign this form and turn it into the Extension Office or email to [email protected]. This does NOT have to be uploaded to 4H Online.

Horse ID - The horse ID information is entered in your 4H Online profile, where you registered for 4-H. Below are instructions on how to complete your horse ID. A hard copy does NOT have to be turned into the Extension Office. We do recommend printing a copy for yourself to include in your Record Book.
**If you are leasing your horse**, the lease agreement should be uploaded in your horse ID in 4H Online. A copy of your lease does NOT have to be turned into the office.
