We can't do it without all your help! We appreciate all the support of our 4-H programs and Douglas County Fair is the best week of the year! We are looking for extra help to support our events. Areas where you can help, please signup using the buttons above. THANK YOU!

  • Help at Exhibit Day as an Assistant Judge (Adults) or Project Runner (Youth)
  • Help with Project Patrol for the Exhibit Hall during Fair Week (Youth & Adults)
  • Help with the County Shoot Events (Certified Shooting Sports Leaders and other Adults/Youth Jr Leaders)

Who Can Enter:

All Colorado 4-H members ages 8–18 and you do not need to be in the Photography project.


Photo Requirements:

  • Must be taken by the 4-H member
  • Photo must be taken during the current 4-H year
  • Submission Process:
  • Submit entries via the Colorado 4-H State FairEntry system..
  • Log in using your current 4-H Online family email and password.

Deadline: 📅 July 17

Practice cards are required to be able to compete at County Shoot events.


Practice Cards need to be emailed to julie.tanaka@colostate.edu or you can drop off a paper copy to the CSU Extension Office at 410 Fairgrounds Rd, Castle Rock.

During the Shooting Sports events coming up, please keep your eye out for youth going above and beyond showing others how to be a Good Sportsman. Please submit your nominations for the Makayla Dame Good Sportsman Award for youth that exemplify sportsmanship and show care for others.

Awards and Placings from all the County Shoot Contests will be announced at the Shooting Sports Awards Banquet on Wednesday, July 15th, starting at 6:00 pm. We will have a BBQ dinner provided by a generous donation from the Cargill company and the Bangerter Family!

If your youth qualifies for the State Shoot Competitions, you will need to let us know and pay the registration fee the night of the Banquet.


Orders for State Shoot T-shirts will be taken the night of the awards banquet. Shirts will be provided to youth team members, additional shirts will be available to order.
