Get your animals into the ring before June Show & before Fair. Practice where you will be showing!

Troubleshoot walking/bracing problems BEFORE showing.

We will be practicing showmanship, bracing and also talking about nutrition, grooming and answering any questions.

Rabbit Showmanship
Clinic

D.C. Rabbitears is hosting a showmanship/general husbandry clinic for all 4-H kids that are showing rabbits at the 2018 fair. We will have a judge that will score your showmanship with your rabbit so you know what to work on for fair. Come dressed in your showmanship clothes, and bring your rabbit & carpet square. Cloverbud Day Camp

This show supports the Douglas County Youth Council to provide scholarship and educational opportunities to Douglas County 4-H members.  To make this event a success, we are encouraging clubs to donate $50 toward the event.  Youth Council members will be contacting local businesses for sponsorship. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact the Extension office.

Classes for market steers, market goats, market lambs, dairy, pygmy, and fiber goats.We will also have an Old Timer Showmanship.
Swine Showmanship Clinic

Who should attend: Beginner and experienced 4-Hers currently enrolled in the swine project and those looking to be in the project next year.

Trainers: Tanner and Shelbie Sperle and the Swine superintendents, will be available to answer questions about the Douglas County Fair Swine Show.

Do I bring my pigs? No, please do not bring your pigs. We will have demonstration pigs for youth to work with.

Parking: Please park outside the fence in the parking lot.

Rocket Fly Day

Rocket Flay Day is a judged contest open to 4-H Rocketry Project Members only. Come show your knowledge and skills on rocket construction, flight stability, range safety, chute deployment, and landing. The contest will take place at the CSU Extension Office.  
Attend the ReFashion Retreat!

For Clothing Project Members Only
June 6-8, Colorado State Fairgrounds (Pueblo)
The Re-Fashion Retreat features educational sessions conducted by 4-H Agents and Volunteers. There will be hands-on educational workshops to increase your knowledge and skills for your clothing construction or artistic clothing 4-H projects.

You will complete a refashioning project after shopping at a local thrift store. We will be staying in the dorms and using the cafeteria for the workshops. 

We are asking, if the 4-H member has 4 years or less of sewing experience, that they need to bring someone to help them. This could be their mother, grandmother or clothing leader. 
COST: $55 for youth, $25 for Adult Chaperones (includes two nights lodging, six meals, evening snacks and program fees)

There is a limit of 20 youth. Registration available in 4H Online.
