All 4-H members and their birds going to fair MUST attend Poultry ID Day.
Each club has a designated time to attend - see schedule below. If the member is not able to attend, please find someone to bring the birds on June 10th.
EXCEPTION:
Exhibitors with market poultry and meat pen birds are not required to attend; HOWEVER, the member must enter their market birds/meat pen birds in ShoWorks by June 13th. All other poultry entries must come to this day.
We will have computers and people to assist you at ID day to enter your information into ShoWorks
. It is highly recommended that you enter your birds into ShoWorks at ID Day.
If you do not enter in ShoWorks on June 10th, you will be given a copy of your entry form(s) with classes at ID day and will need to enter them in ShoWorks by June 13th to show at Fair.

Junior Poultry Department Exhibitors are limited to a
MAXIMUM
of ten (10) entries for the entire Junior Poultry Department. An entry may consist of an individual, pair or trio.
1. Exhibitors will be limited to a combined
MAXIMUM
of two (2) Market Turkey entries, one (1) per variety up to the maximum entries allowed for the Junior Poultry Department.
2. Exhibitors will be limited to two (2) Meat Pen of 3 Chicken entries, one (1) per weight class up to the maximum entries allowed for the Junior Poultry Department.
3. Exhibitors will be limited on one (1) entry in the Laying/Standard Trio Class up to the maximum entries allowed for the Junior Poultry Department.
4. Exhibitors will be limited to two (2) single entries and a trio in the Production Chicken classes up to the maximum entries allowed for the Junior Poultry Department. For classes please visit the Douglas County Fair Competition Rules at:

All 4-H members and their rabbits going to fair MUST attend the ID day on June 10th.

Exceptions:
- Market/Meat Pen Exhibitors are not required to attend; HOWEVER the member must enter their market/meat pen rabbits in ShoWorks by June 13th.
- Rabbits too young to ID on June 10th will have an ID Day on June 27th from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Multipurpose Building.

Any rabbit not checked in on ID Day will not be allowed to be shown at the county fair.

Each 4-H member is limited to 15 rabbits total and 2 rabbits per class. A meat pen entry is also counted as 1 entry and each member is limited to two meat pen of rabbits. Please plan on bringing all of the rabbits that you would want to show and any rabbits that could be used as substitutions in case one of your rabbits becomes ill or for any reason cannot be shown. Remember that substitutions have to be the same sex, variety, breed, and class as the rabbit that they are replacing.
If your rabbit needs a tattoo, it can be done at the check-in, free of charge. Please bring pedigrees for your meat pen bunnies as we will be checking for ownership on these rabbits. You may not share rabbits or meat pen bunnies with other 4-H members, even if they are members of your family. Each 4-H member must own their own rabbits. If someone else is bringing your rabbits to ID Day, please call Robin Vogel at 303-514-2053 in advance to arrange for this change.

Your bunnies should be born approximately around May 22, 2018. This will make your rabbits no older than 70 days on August 1, 2018 (the day of judging).
For those of you who are breeding, please remember that you cannot share bunnies with anyone else, not even other family members. You must own your own doe, and her bunnies. You can use another family member’s buck for stud service, but each member must own their own doe. D.C. Rabbitears is hosting a showmanship/general husbandry clinic for all 4-H kids that are showing rabbits at the 2018 fair. We will have a judge that will score your showmanship with your rabbit so you know what to work on for fair. Come dressed in your showmanship clothes, and bring your rabbit & carpet square. Get your rabbit tattooed for ID day. $2 a tattoo.

This show supports the Douglas County Youth Council to provide scholarship and educational opportunities to Douglas County 4-H members.
To make this event a success, we are encouraging clubs to donate $50 toward the event.
Youth Council members will be contacting local businesses for sponsorship. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact the Extension office.
Classes for market steers, market goats, market lambs, dairy, pygmy, and fiber goats.We will also have an Old Timer Showmanship.

Colorado Rapids vs. Vancouver Whitecaps
Adams County 4-H invites you join them at the Colorado Rapids game on Friday, June 1, 2018! All members, friends, and families will receive a discounted ticket of $25. The club has reserved the opportunity for all guests to watch warm-ups field side and take a club photo on the field after the Rapids game if 30 tickets are sold.
