Gain inspiration and ideas regarding porcelain slab materials installed in countertop applications. We will learn about the health and environmental impacts of porcelain compared to other popular countertop materials and why porcelain has less impact to the environment to manufacture.

Participants will learn about countertop/surfacing materials currently available and the materials functional and sustainable pros/cons associated with each material. The course describes the evolution of porcelain manufacturing methods and the benefits of the moldless pressing method, radial applications, exteriors and tile over tile. The course gives participants detailed information regarding the sustainability and wellness attributes associated with porcelain. The course explores other uses for porcelain beyond countertops and gives participants motivation and inspiration for their own projects.
