Andrea D. Herschelman, Assoc. AIA, IIDA
University of Southern Indiana

4L. How many years have you served on the IIDA Indiana Board?  AH. This is my first year on the Board! I'm very excited to be working (and networking) with all of the awesome design professionals in and around Indiana. Evansville just became a City Center this year (woohoo!), so we are the new kids on the block.

4L. What are your main responsibilities on the board and how long is your term as VP of the Evansville City Center? AH. My main responsibility as VP of the Evansville City Center is to oversee our Evansville committee, and help manage all of the fun things we are doing down here. I also act as the Board liaison for the committee, communicating to the Board what we are working on. It is a two-year term.

4L. How long have you been with USI?  AH. I've been with USI for about 2.5 years.

4L. 3 Words to Describe IIDA... AH. Motivating. Impactful. CREATIVE.

4L. What does IIDA mean to you or what is the greatest part about IIDA?
AH. Having just become a City Center, IIDA means quite a few things to me. It means opportunity - for design professionals in southern Indiana that might not have had this kind of outlet before. It means inclusion and involvement - allowing design professionals to be involved with something bigger and broader than what we can do on our own. It also means FUN - because if we're not having fun, then what's the point?

Are you interested in volunteering with the Indiana Chapter of IIDA? We would love to hear from you.
