Adrienne Searcy, IIDA Indiana Chapter President 2021-2022
Adrienne + her kiddos post marathon
I am honored and privileged to serve our 200+ members as I step into the role as the 2021-2022 IIDA Indiana Chapter President. As we move into a new board year, we owe a huge thank you to the 2020-2021 Board for their dedication, service and leadership over the past year as well as to all of our members and sponsors for their incredible support in making an unprecedented year a success.

The Indiana Chapter works diligently to celebrate, advocate, and create opportunities for interior designers in Indiana. We recently concluded our annual board retreat and we are excited to share with you some new programs and opportunities in the coming year. 2022 will certainly be the year to take some BOLD steps in our careers – more information on that to come.

Thank you for allowing me to serve alongside you this year. I truly appreciate your support and encourage anyone wishing to provide feedback, suggestions, or simply to learn more about IIDA Indiana to contact me at president@iidaindiana.org. Thank you for your continued involvement and support.

Sincerely,
Adrienne Searcy
IIDA Indiana Chapter President
4L. How long have you been involved with IIDA and why is it important to you?

AS. I have been an IIDA member since 2007 and actively involved since 2015 in both the Mid-Atlantic and Indiana chapters. IIDA is important to me because of the immense growth opportunity it has provided me to try new things outside of my day to day.

4L. Why is IIDA important to interior designers and the industry?

AS. IIDA is important to interior designers because of the role it plays in advancing the profession through education, legislation, leadership and community outreach.

4L. What do you hope to do with your role during your term?

AS. I hope to work to continue to grow the position of IIDA as the best place to find resources for professional development opportunities for all phases in one’s career.

4L. Why should firms/industry manufacturers be a part of IIDA?

AS. Anyone who is an advocate of the interior design profession should consider getting involved with IIDA. The more we support and sharpen one another, the more the entire profession advances which means greater opportunity for everyone.
