As we head into Q4, October to December, it’s time to refresh your mind on your goals and your mission.
Maybe you’re on course to hit the targets you set at the beginning of the year?
Or can you see what part of your business, or personal development, needs your attention over these next three months?
🚀To help boost your energy levels and mindset when you start each day, reconnecting with your mission is a brilliant motivator.
It can help you make decisions, stay focused and take action with more ease, especially when things get challenging.
Over the summer I read two books by leading entrepreneurs, who were both constantly referring to their missions throughout the chapters.
I have just finished reading Shoe Dog by Phil Knight, who co-founded Nike. Have you read it?
I really enjoyed the book and was fascinated by his relationship with his employees and the people he met along the way.
But there was one thing that surprised me.
He tells how his first employee used to write letters to Knight every day, describing the different customers he encountered, along with their feedback and comments about the shoes and their performance.
And Phil Knight didn’t reply to any of them!
A hands-off management style indeed!
Before Shoe Dog, I read the new biography of Elon Musk by Walter Isaacson, which gave an insight into his mindset and the way Elon Musk works, and why. Love him or hate him, it was a brilliant read.
Focused on his missions, and in almost total contrast to Phil Knight, Musk is extremely hands-on and puts a huge emphasis on his small teams to create and complete a bigger workload.
Two very different leadership styles. Yet both were incredibly mission-focused. And clearly, their own style worked well for them.
So, as we head into the final quarter of the year, your Action Points today are to write out your goals and set your intention for Q4.
Here are 4 Questions to help you:
