Jintel Health Secures Funding and Appoints CEO 

Jintel Health, Inc., a technology innovator in advanced analytics and artificial intelligence for precision medicine with a focus on cancer, appointed David C. Dvorak as Chief Executive Officer and successfully completed its current round of financing. The company's founder, Ping Zhang, PhD, will assume the new role of President. David is a recognized leader with a more than 20-year proven track record as Executive Officer of global healthcare technology enterprises, including serving as CEO of Zimmer Biomet (Fortune 500) from 2007 to 2017 and Chairman of Board of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) from 2014 to 2017.

Jintel's Precision Intelligence platform  has been successfully implemented at large healthcare institutions like Intermountain Healthcare where the combined clinical, genomic, and outcome data are analyzed using its proprietary machine learning tools to advance precision medicine and enable novel discoveries for cancer patients.

Upward Labs Launches AgeTech Pilot Program

Upward Labs , based out of Hartford, CT, has launched a pilot program for AgeTech companies. They will select up to 5 startups who will receive an investment of $50,000 in cash and $250,000 in kind. This intensive lab is designed to prepare entrepreneurs for real-world applications by working with industry leaders such as Aetna, Cigna, AARP, Nassau Re, Benchmark, Stanley HealthCare, CareCentrix, Carrier (UTC), Lincoln Financial, and more.

Startups will have the opportunity to pilot their technology across 100 assisted-living units and 100 health-care homes, with full control over the success of their trial and tangible results to propel them into their next phase of growth.

Last month, MyndVR announced the launch of MyndVR 2.0 in partnership with HTC's VIVE X accelerator.
