Great news from Monroe: our Relief Nursery classroom is serving 14 children in two classes, twice a week... and will soon add a third day to meet more families’ needs. We are now fully staffed with three teachers, including a bilingual teacher/home visitor.
The kids have been forming new friendships and making new discoveries. They enjoy reading, singing and yoga in circle time. They also love open-ended activities like mixing “potions” of spices in test tubes, and creating “junk art” with... just about anything!
The teachers are seeing strides of social and emotional growth in each child. Parents see the positive changes, too. One commented on how quickly her son’s speaking improved once he started attending.
We’re so pleased to be serving more families in South Benton County – and thank supporters like you for making our satellite classroom a reality!
