I am coming off of a magical retreat in the wild and wondrous Lake Atitlan. We were 5000 feet up, in a tropical jungle paradise. I am glad to be home, but will be forever touched by this land, and the people who inhabit it. Ancient Mayan people, in touch with the earth, in touch with each other, in touch with the sacredness of life.

I humbly bow to the teachings from the volcano, the Mayans, the community, the flowers, the friends we made, and the friends we hold.

Let our hearts burn like fire.

For justice. For truth. For clarity. For wisdom. For peace.

Starting Monday, February 23, and Tuesday, February 10th, I am offering a special class, that will draw from my 7 years of practice, study, and immersion in Iyengar Yoga. I took a 5 day teachers intensive from Eddy Marks and Mary Obendorfer who are Senior Iyengar teachers a few years back, and learned from them how Mr. Iyengar wanted "beginners" to learn yoga. He was worried, Mary and Eddy shared, that his teachings were being lost, and shared this transformative class with all of us. I decided not to pursue an Iyengar certificate for many reasons, but have learned invaluable techniques and wisdom that have shaped me as a teacher of yoga. Every time I teach this type of class people love it. I decided to offer it as a series, due to the feedback I have received.


It is remarkable, how going back to the basics, in repetition, rhythmically, and steadily, will improve your mobility. When your mobility improves, so does your stability. Your ideas will be blown by the methodology of this series.

Yoga Wall/ De-Stress/ Somatic Movement. Thursday evening 5:30-6:45pm


Thursday evening is a class fave here at the studio. Let the warmth and good energy of the studio become your safe space to unwind, de-stress, and relax. A full body stretch class incorporating foam rollers, massage balls, the yoga wall, breath techniques, stretching, and ancient wisdom to bring it all together.
