ALL-SCHOOL FUN DAY AT CRYSTAL COVE
Friday, May 31

Every year, we have incorporated a fun, curriculum-enriched, community-bonding day, where every student and teacher (and some lucky parents) get off campus together to transform the classroom into an experiential learning experience. We asked for our students to submit the  "Ultimate Field Trip"  agenda, and out of all of the submissions, we chose the following fun day:

Crystal Cove Passion-Based Workshops 2019
This year, we will be caravanning to Crystal Cove in Newport Beach for several passion-based, teacher-led workshops including, but not limited to:
  • Landscape Art
  • Hiking
  • Marine Biology Lab
  • Creative Writing
  • Ultimate Frisbee
  • Low Ropes Course

Students will be able to choose a couple of workshops to participate in throughout the day. We will provide lunch, hang out on the beach, and make our way back to school by 3:30 p.m.

CHAPERONES NEEDED! It takes a village! If you are interested in driving or chaperoning, please contact  Summer Sanders

ACADEMY APPROVED! UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA
University of California' Eligibility in the Local Context (ELC) Program

The Academy has been approved to identify six students for the ELC program! The Eligibility in Local Context program ensures that academically talented and deserving  California resident  students have the opportunity to enroll in one of the University of California colleges.

ELC status adds value to the application and is one of the 14 factors considered when applications are reviewed. Additionally, ELC students not admitted to any of their campus choices are offered a spot at a UC campus that has space, if minimum UC requirements are met.

Congratulations to our six qualified applicants.

  • Send and receive school and club information
  • Share permission slips
  • See calendar items
  • Sign up to volunteer
  • and much more . . . all in one centralized place!
