Jeroboam's Compromise

On this day (August 26) in the year 1752, Jean-Honore Fragonard, a young 20-year-old artist, won the highly prestigious French Prix de Rome award, 

otherwise known as the Grand Prix de Rome, for the above oil painting,  "Jeroboam Sacrificing to Idols". What was even more remarkable than his young age was the fact that he had not received the usual training at the Academie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture, France's premiere art institute. God gave him quite a gift! 

On Sunday, September 4, we will begin the Fall 2022 Gospel Project study entitled "Rebellion to Exile" with a look at "Jeroboam's Compromise". Below are some phrases from the introduction to the study to give you an idea of the material we will be focusing on in the weeks to come. If you ordered a Daily Discipleship Guide, it can be found in your classroom, unless you are a virtual attender, in which case you will receive yours by mail. WOMENS BIBLE STUDY
