Welcome to the NEW Central Pines Regional Council newsletter! We hope you like this new layout! The Pine Needler will be sent out twice a month and will be full of upcoming events and regional news, all for your information.

Foreign Trade Zone #93 Celebrates 40 Years!

Central Pines Regional Council has been the grantee of FTZ #93 since November 16, 1983. For the past 40 years, business in the area have remained globally competitive by deferring, reducing, and/or completely eliminating their duty payments through the FTZ program. Watch the video to learn more about how FTZ can be an asset to your business and the region as a whole.  

CPRC Open House & Ribbon Cutting!

Join us for a momentous occasion as Central Pines Regional Council proudly unveils its newly renovated office space! We invite you to celebrate with us at our Open House and Ribbon Cutting event on Wednesday, January 24 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. The festivities will be a floating affair, allowing you the flexibility to drop by at your convenience. The Ribbon Cutting will be done at approximately 4:45 pm with tours and drop-in programming happening throughout the event.

Reminder: Regional Transportation Goals Survey

The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) and Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization (DCHC MPO) are working on creating the Triangle region's next long-range metropolitan transportation plan, "Destination 2055." A survey is open until January 10, 2024 to get public input on the goals of the plan.
