Project Overview
The City of Miami Beach is replacing the aerial water main along 41 Street between Pine Tree Drive and Collins Avenue. This critical project will upgrade the existing infrastructure to a 20-inch pipe via horizontal directional drilling. Once completed, the new pipe will provide the necessary flow capacity to support increasing demands along Collins Avenue.
Timeline
This project is expected to begin on April 23, 2024 and conclude in September 2024. Work hours are Monday–Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Due to the nature of this operation and heavy machinery, a 24-hour lane closure will be in effect.
A complete list of activities within each phase is included below. Please know that this schedule may change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
