Our ward office will be closed on Monday November 11, 2024 in observance of Veterans Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 9:00 am. Thank you to all of our United States Veterans for serving our great nation!

2025 Chicago Budget Update

For the past month, I've been working with 14 of my colleagues on a budget counterproposal that does not include a property tax increase. I am happy to report that we now have a total of 29 Aldermen who have joined us in calling for a special City Council meeting to vote against Mayor Johnson's proposed $300 million property tax increase. With a successful vote next week, we will force the administration to amend their current budget proposal removing this unnecessary tax burden on our homeowners.

Sincerely,

Anthony Napolitano

41st Ward Alderman

The 41st Ward office is extremely excited to work with our new 16th District Commander Robert Vanna. Commander Vanna immediately opened a strong line of communication with our office and the six other Aldermanic offices that share the 16th District. Commander Vanna will be implementing a different approach to combating crime on the Northwest side. He will also be sharing a Bi-monthly “From The Commander’s Desk” report with our office to share with the 41st ward. Commander Vanna is aware of the crimes that have plagued the 16th District not only as the new Commander but also as a resident of the 16th District.

Please be sure to visit www.chicagopolice.org for community alerts that affect the 016th District and for information on CAPS meetings.

Remember, if you see something say something and call 911.

41st Ward Street Sweeping

Street sweeping is in full swing and will continue until November. Street sweeping is provided on a city-wide grid. To access your schedule and sign up for text or email alerts please visit

Please Note: If street sweeping is scheduled on your day of garbage service and you have curbside pickup, please place your carts in the parkway near the curb. This will ensure that your carts are serviced and keep the curb lane open for street sweeping.

Neighborhoods throughout Chicago have been negatively affected by online, temporary home and room rentals. These online rentals are on the rise and may pose a threat to our community by facilitating pop-up parties and illegal activity. These "hotel-houses" may also have a negative impact on property values. The quality of life in our neighborhoods is paramount and we need your help banning these "hotel-houses" on your block and throughout the 41st Ward.
