MILWAUKEE — A new Marquette Law School Poll survey of Wisconsin voters finds close races for governor and for the U.S. Senate.
Among likely voters, in his race for reelection, Sen. Ron Johnson, a Republican, is supported by 49%, while his Democratic opponent, Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, is the choice of 48%. In August, immediately after the primary election, Johnson trailed Barnes by 7 percentage points, 52% to 45%, among likely voters. All vote results include undecided voters who lean to a candidate.
In the governor’s race, 47% of likely voters support Democratic Gov. Tony Evers, while 44% favor Republican Tim Michels. The independent candidate, Joan Beglinger, is chosen by 5%, with 3% who don’t know. Beglinger ended her campaign on Sept. 6 but will remain on the November ballot. In the Marquette Law School Poll’s August survey, Evers received 48%, Michels 44%, and Beglinger 4% among likely voters

Every vote could be crucial in this election! We know what is at stake.
If Wisconsin loses Tony Evers, there will be no protection against what has been deemed the most radically right legislature in the country.
If Ron Johnson is elected, the US Senate may well go Republican. We will be saddled with "Wisconsin’s Greatest National Embarrassment Since Joseph McCarthy: He Represents Racism, Supremacy and Bigotry".
Here are 6 ways how you can secure a blue wave on election day and help protect our democracy.
#1. VOTE! There is no more important pledge you can make than to vote in EVERY election.
#2. Help you local progressive group turn out every progressive vote in your community. Your Mount Horeb Progressive Trolls will be canvassing every weekend from now to the election. (See Information below)
#3. Mentor a new voter.
#4 Write a letter to the editor. Use your voice to endorse progressive champions.
#5. Volunteer to work at your local polling place the day of the election.
#6. Plant a yard sign. Yard Signs for Evers and/or Barnes. Call Carol Larsen 608-437-3966, Or Jennifer Gottwald 608-437-1974 for information.
