Drag Chains that Just Bolt and Go

Still using heavy, cumbersome drag chains?

4B’s Bolt-N-GoTM drag conveyor chains are easy to install and easier to work on – you won’t believe the short breakdown recovery time.

Plus, they’re not only lightweight but high strength, with drop-forged, heat-treated links and connecting pins.

High wear-resistant nylon paddles attach simply and easily – directly to links with just hand tools and hex bolts. No more welded steel backer flights, which means no hot work permits required!

Additional benefits include:

  • Replace paddles while the chain is tensioned
  • Paddles can bend past obstruction and return to shape
  • Every link is an easily accessible disconnect point

Use Bolt-N-Go for conveyors handling dry free-flowing product, such as animal feed, corn, soybeans, wheat, canola, rice and wood shavings.

Goodbye 2023, Hello 2024!

I can hardly believe I’m writing this, but here we are wrapping up 2023!

If you’re like me, the year blew by in a whirlwind of customer visits, trade shows, conferences, and product developments.

A key moment for me was chairing the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) Equipment Manufacturers Conference in Tucson, AZ. The conference was a great opportunity to learn and network with industry leaders, while paying forward on the EMC scholarship program, which provides annual scholarships to students pursuing careers in the animal food industry.

This year was an exciting one for 4B, including the launch of our revolutionary Encoder-Flex 1024, which lets you see the precise location of your gate from 0 to 100%. As I look ahead to next year, I’m anticipating the many new product innovations we have in the pipeline, as well as our heavy trade show agenda, customer trainings, and site visits already on our schedule.

In 2024, I will serve as President for the Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA), so I look forward to seeing many of you at industry events across the Americas and at the annual meeting taking place in Orlando, FL in March.

As always, it is our privilege to provide the most advanced technology and the highest level of support to the grain/feed and industrial bulk material handling markets.

Cheers to a happy and safe holiday season and to a successful and fruitful 2024!

Keith Bohnker

Larry has some big shoes to fill, as he steps into the role Keith Bohnker filled for almost 23 years before his retirement.

Keith came to 4B with a background in the weighing, wet milling and grain/feed industries, and over more than two decades, he became a cornerstone of support and technical expertise for our customers.

A native of western Iowa, Keith came to Illinois by way of New York and Minnesota, and boy, were we glad he did. The customers loved him and so did we.

We’re not sure how he did it, but when Keith wasn’t providing customer support, over the years he was an assistant scoutmaster taking monthly camping trips, then later spending time with Anna, their kids and the grandkids. He has also been involved with the Morton Opportunity Club and the Knights of Columbus.

Happy Retirement Keith!
