Cement Industry Bucket Innovation

A new material is providing a lightweight, durable, non-stick alternative for cement facilities who have been using carbon steel. Nylathane™ is a unique polymer that combines nylon 6 with an elastomer. So what does that mean? 4B’s Carl Swisher says it can withstand impact and return to shape, unlike metal buckets that permanently deform.

That combination makes it ideal for the cement industry, where impact tolerance and efficient discharge of sticky or powdery products are critical to minimize downtime and optimize production.

It is also about 1/3rd of the weight of metal buckets so installation and handling is much easier.
