Radical Sending
Sunday, August 25 after both services, Board Room
Have you wondered why we end our worship service by sending forth with "Let us go into the world in peace to love and serve the Lord"? Jesus didn't just call people to come, he called them to be sent. Join us for part 2 of this class, as we engage a Church Next video " Radical Sending" and reflect together how St. Francis can live out our mission together as we come together to serve our world for peace, justice and love.
Taizé Service of Healing & Wholeness
Tuesday, August 27th, 7:00 pm
Join us again for our Taizé service of healing. This Taizé service, filled with music and candlelight, also provides the option for intercessory prayer with a Prayer team leader. We pray that the time will be a healing comfort for whatever you face or hold in your heart.
A HUGE Rummage and Book Sale Thank You!
An enormous thank you to all the faithful workers who spent so many hours staging our rummage sale. Also the many hours spent packing up leftovers for pick up. Thanks also to those who sent in lovely donations for the sale. We made in the vicinity of $17,000 which goes into a special fund for major maintenance of the church facility. We still have a few pieces of quality furniture for sale which may be seen in the parish hall. Again my thanks for all the generous support of this event. Gloria.
Antique Show Results!
The final numbers are in and the Antiques Show netted just over $26,000 !!! Thank you to all who gave so much of their time and talents to make this years Show another outstanding success! A check for the initial pledge of $10,000 has already been given to the parish. The ECW will be deciding soon how to distribute the rest of the proceeds which will benefit all aspects of St. Francis and many outreach programs. Thank you and God Bless! Jamie Bellows & Wendy Pratt, 2019 Co-Chairs.
