This year's
Bishops' Annual Appeal
and why we need to participate
From Fr Joseph

Dear brothers and sisters,
We are posting the Annual Appeal once again for the benefit of those who did not get to watch this last week.

In this way everyone would have the opportunity to become more aware of why we are seeking to support the work of the Archdiocese in this appeal

Archdiocese of Newark, to whom we belong as a parish, serves several ministries that benefit us all in the Body of Christ.

Among them are : Office of Evangelization, International Missions, Campus Ministries, Catholic schools, Catholic Charities, Caring for the Poor & Vulnerable, Formation for Priests, Seminarian Education, Priest Health Care, care for retired priests and nuns, hospital & prison ministries.

Our aim is to raise $12,000 from our parish for this year’s Annual Appeal.

Can we count on one another to come up with this amount?

We distributed Annual Appeal envelopes last Sunday. If you need more, please let us know. Or simply submit your contributions online. You can use a credit card or make a pledge. Here is the link to make online donations to the Annual Appeal : https://support.rcan.org/a/donate

Please be as generous as you are able. Most especially I ask that everyone participate in this annual appeal in some manner big or seemingly small. No gift is too small.

Thank you for your constant generosity and may our Lord bless you and your family abundantly.
Please watch the video (below)

In Jesus, thru Mary & Joseph,
Fr Joseph

A note about Dr Pitre:

Dr Brant Pitre is a renowned & insightful Bible scholar.

What blessing it is to listen to Dr Pitre's study on the Mass readings, to " be instructed in the Old Testament background of the Gospel, the Jewish rabbinical tradition, the testimony and interpretation of the early Church Fathers, the Church's magisterial teaching, and the personal insights of a leading Catholic Scripture scholar.
Dr. Pitre makes the Scripture come alive, and his love for God's Word comes through loud and clear. He communicates profound insights into Scripture in a manner available to everyone, from the beginner to the accomplished student or scholar"
