√ Tomorrow, Friday March 25th, is the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord.
We will have 2 Masses: 12 Noon & 7pm.
We will have the Stations of the Cross after the 7pm Mass, but we will also have something to eat after the Stations to celebrate the “Little Christmas” in the midst of Lent. There is NO fast or abstinence this Friday. If you don’t already use Wednesdays as an additional fast day, perhaps you may choose to move your fast day to Wednesday.

Tomorrow, Friday March 25th, , Pope Francis is inviting all priests around the world to join him in Consecration, tomorrow, Friday, March 25. He will offer the Act of Consecration in the context of a Celebration of Penance to be held at Saint Peter’s Basilica at 5:00 p.m. Rome time ( 12 noon, EST our time). The Act of Consecration itself will take place about 6:30 p.m. Rome time,
( 1:30pm, EST, our time)
The Holy Father is asking that people recite the prayer of consecration at some point throughout the day, as they see fit in their parish/school/community.
At St Antoninus, Fr Joseph has announced that he will lead the parish consecration to Ukraine & Russia during tomorrow's 7pm Annunciation of the Lord Mass, and also during this Sunday's Mass.

FRIDAYS OF LENT:
As mentioned above, today (following the Mass of the Annunciation of the Lord), there will be Stations of the Cross in the main church.

WEDDINGS. Contact the parish office one year in advance of the proposed marriage date.

INFANT BAPTISM. Expectant parents should call the office to register for the baptism of your baby. Most of our baptisms take place during Sunday Mass.

CATECHISM CLASSES FOR CHILDREN - take place on Sundays, from 8:15am to 9:15am.

Every Tuesday at 8pm, we have Scripture Study- in person & on Zoom ( following the 7pm Rosary, using same Zoom link). This is mainly focused on the upcoming Sunday Mass readings, based on the video series, "Mass Readings Explained" by Dr Brant Pitre, who is a renowned & insightful Bible scholar, followed by discussions led by our "household preacher" Fr Peter Okafor. Come in person for our Midweek Wednesday Prayer Meeting at 8pm with Ken Julien leading the music ministry. Join us at 7pm for Rosary & Litanies. If you cannot come in person, join us on Zoom.! More info inside.

Come in person for our Divine Adoration Prayer Meeting at 3pm every Saturday. If you cannot come in person, join us on livestream. (On the actual date, search onYoutube: St Antoninus )

Every second Sunday of the month, Children’s ministry of the Liturgy of the Word during our 10am Sunday Mass in the rectory dining room led by Sr. Genevieve Okoro, DMMM. The children will come to Mass with their parents as usual and then they will be dismissed just before the readings begin and return during or just before the Offertory. This will NOT take the place of our ongoing Children's Religious Education Classes. Participation in this requires on-time arrival at the Mass.

Join our Cleaning Ministry which meets every second Saturday of the month to do a general cleaning of the Church. Call Doris Okolie at 347 748 5023, coordinator of this mission of love & fellowship.

Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord
Friday, March 25
The Solemnity of the Annunciation is celebrated nine months before the Nativity of the Lord, a feast which came about earlier historically. The Annunciation recalls the day when the Archangel Gabriel appeared to Mary and revealed God’s will that she become the Mother of the Son of God, and she accepted. At that moment, the “Word became Flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14).


We will have 2 Masses:
12 Noon & 7pm

10 am- Holy Mass in Main Church

Following Mass is our Stations of the Cross as part of our Fridays for Lent Liturgy.

Since the Annunciation of the Lord is a feast, there is NO fasting and abstinence on this day.

Immediately following the Stations, we will have something to eat to celebrate the “Little Christmas” ( 9 months before the birth of Jesus) in the midst of Lent.

Pope Francis’ Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Pope Francis will lead the Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary tomorrow, Friday, 25 March on the Solemnity of the Annunciation – in St Peter’s Basilica beginning at 5 pm Rome time (12 Noon, EST). The Act of Consecration will begin at approximately 6:30pm Rome time (1:30pm, EST, our time).

The same act, on the same day, at the same time, will be undertaken by Catholic bishops throughout the world.
The Act of Consecration will be prayed as part of a special Lenten Penance service at St. Peter’s Basilica. Pope Francis has described the consecration saying,
This Act of Consecration is meant to be a gesture of the universal Church, which in this dramatic moment lifts up to God, through his Mother and ours, the cry of pain of all those who suffer and implore an end to the violence, and to entrust the future of our human family to the Queen of Peace.

We have added a video series by Dr. Brant Pitre to our Tuesday Night Scripture Study. Join us in person and on Zoom! Start with the Rosary at 7pm (Rosary every nite at 7pm), then the Scripture Study starts at 8pm.
