Blanket made to honor quilter, age 100
We recently received the beautiful quilt shown here, made by Becky in honor of Jean Spero, a 100-year-old quilter and former Chair of Otterbein University’s Department of Human Ecology. The quilt was made with fabric from Jean’s supply.

Our 2023 goal: Blankets for 35,000 Children in Foster Care

Fourth graders fundraise for blankets

We were thrilled and thankful to receive this story from Alison, a fourth grade teacher at St. Mary's School in Delaware, Ohio.

A Little Excitement Can Go a Long Way

Back in December, my 4th graders were doing some research on organizations that help out the needy. We came across one organization with a button that said, “Click Here to Donate.” The whole class erupted in the cheer, “Click the button!”

IU Student Knits for Service Hours

Ashlynn, a student at Indiana University in Indianapolis, knitted two blankets for children in foster care while fulfilling her school’s service hour requirement.

She made blankets in two sizes, suitable for younger and older children, and donated them at The Villages, a non-profit child and family services agency in Marion County.

Ashlynn shared with us her thoughts on the project from her service hours application. Read excerpts here.
