Please Join Me in Thanking CCSD93's Teachers!
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. CCSD93's teachers consistently amaze me with their depth of knowledge, ability to connect with each individual student and dedication to improving their craft. Now, in the face of this pandemic, they have completely adjusted their delivery of instruction to work within the parameters necessary to contribute to keeping our community safe and healthy. I am so very grateful to be Superintendent for a district with such committed educators. Please join me next week in thanking them for all they do. 
CCSD93 Parent Satisfaction Registers as All-Time High
As we continue to review CCSD93's Satisfaction Survey results from December's survey, today I focus on the Parent results. While December feels like a year ago at this point, we still use this data to inform decisions and guide improvement.
 
I'm pleased to share with you that parent satisfaction remained strong and seven of the 12 major categories we track, including Teachers, Principals, Curriculum, and Overall Satisfaction with the School Year, came in as all-time highs.

While I'm thrilled that the work of our dedicated educators has resulted in consistently high satisfaction with CCSD93, we'll continue to strive for improvement in every facet of the district as we're committed to providing a world-class education for our students.

Heritage Lakes & Cloverdale Staff Join the Dance Party! 
Even though we're keeping our distance, there ain't no mountain high enough to keep Heritage Lakes staff from connecting with students! Check out their moves!
Cloverdale's staff members got grooving with the first ever medley entry in Dance Video Challenge! Enjoy!
Online Registration Coming Soon
CCSD93 will go live with online registration for next school year very soon. Parents of current students will receive an email with directions for registering their child for next school year, along with a phone call from their child's principal and a text message. Please keep an eye out for more and register as soon as you're able after receiving the notification.
8th Grade Graduation Details Finalized
Graduating 8th graders from Jay Stream and Stratford will have the opportunity to participate in a Digital Graduation Ceremony in early June. CCSD93 is also hopeful that they will be able to participate in an In-Person Graduation Celebration tentatively scheduled for late July at Glenbard North High School. Parents of CCSD93 8th graders received an email earlier today describing the events in greater detail. You can find out more about Jay Stream's plans here and Stratford's here. If your child is an 8th grade student, please be sure to mark your calendar!
CCSD93 Continuing to Provide Free Student Meals at 13 Community Locations
Are you looking for meals for your student? CCSD93 continues to offer free meals for all students throughout school closure. In seven weeks, we've distributed nearly 17,000 meals! Stop by any of the following locations for a free lunch and breakfast between 10:30 a.m. and noon any weekday until further notice. Be sure to practice social distancing while picking up meals!
