Lord Jesus, You call me to remain in You with my whole heart. When I feel weak, remind me that Your strength always flows through me. Teach me patience as You shape me through growth and challenges. I trust that Your work in me is still unfolding, now and always. Amen.

PRINCIPAL'S LETTER

“The future begins today, not tomorrow” St. John Paul II

Dear Parents,

We are proud to share that, when comparing the mean (average) scores across grade levels, our students performed exceptionally well! It is clear that students at Holy Family are learning, growing, and mastering the skills taught at each grade level. We are very proud of their hard work and dedication.

Recently, students in grades 1–8 brought home their NWEA MAP scores from the spring testing window. These reports provide insight into your child’s current achievement as well as their growth over time. MAP is a norm-referenced assessment, meaning your child’s performance is compared to that of students nationwide. The student report offers a snapshot of your child’s academic progress at this point in the year. If you have any questions about your child’s MAP data, please contact their teacher.

Data Terms Used During MAP Review

  • Mean: The average score for a group of students.
  • Percentile Rank (Achievement): Indicates how your child performed compared to students nationwide. For example, a percentile of 83 means the student scored as well as or better than 83% of students nationally.

Thank you for your continued support in your child’s learning journey. We are grateful to partner with you in your child's educational journey.

God Bless,

Mr. Segura's Fifth Grade Class

Hosting Mass

We had a wonderful Mass this morning. Thank you to Mrs. Mena's sixth grade Religion class who proclaimed the reading for us.

Mass on Thursday, May 21st will be hosted by the students in Mr. Segura's fifth grade class. Please consider volunteering to help with set-up before Mass or take down after Mass.

All are welcome to attend!

Angel Virtue Program

In May, grades 2-8 focused on loyalty and magnificence. Each teacher in these grades chose students who modeled these virtues in an especially positive way. The following students will be announced at Mass next week and will be presented with a pin to wear on Mass days. Congratulations to our Angels!

Run With The Angels Event Recap

Thank you so much to everyone who participated, volunteered, and contributed to our Run With The Angels event last Friday. It was truly a fantastic day filled with excitement and joy. Our students, along with the parent volunteers, had an amazing time and made wonderful memories together.

Although we are still finalizing our totals, we are thrilled to share that student pledges raised approximately $80,000. While this amount is slightly below our overall goal, it is still an outstanding achievement that reflects the dedication and generosity of our community.

Special congratulations go to Mrs. Jaode’s class and Miss Sprigg’s advisory group, who enjoyed delicious ice cream treats from the Alsie Ice Cream Truck as a reward for their outstanding participation.

For those interested, there are still a limited number of RWTA T-shirts available for purchase in the front office. Each shirt is $15. Stop by the front office to get yours while supplies last.

We look forward to sharing the final fundraising results with everyone in our Gratitude Report, which will be released in early fall. Stay tuned for more details and thank you again for your incredible support!

Angel Fund Participation: Last Call!

If you have not yet contributed to the Angel Fund this year, there is still time to make your donation. You can easily do so by following this link.

We are pleased to announce that we have already reached our monetary goal for the Angel Fund. However, parent participation remains a critical component when our school applies for grants and seeks corporate sponsorships. High levels of parent participation demonstrate to potential partners that our families are deeply committed to the school’s mission.

Currently, our parent participation rate stands at 52%. Our goal is to increase this to 60% by June 30. Every donation counts toward participation—no matter the amount!

8th Grade Graduation

Please join us for 8th grade graduation as we celebrate our students on Tuesday, May 19th at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 5:00pm. Reception to follow.

School Supplies for the 2026-2027 School Year

Our school will be managing school supplies the same way we did last year. Instead of us ordering the supplies in bulk and having them in the classroom on the first day of school, parents now have the option of purchasing the supplies through a vendor we have contracted with or on your own. The lists are attached for what is needed for each grade level.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a bulk item listed for Pre-Kindergarten. That item is not needed to be purchased by each family. Please do not purchase the bulk item.

Welcome to Holy Family Catholic School

Kid’s College 2026

The Holy Family Catholic School Kid’s College is where kids can come and pursue their interests. Like college, scholars will have the freedom to choose the sessions that appeal to their interests. Scholars are invited to explore a new skill, engage in an interest, and learn.

The faculty will lead carefully selected courses designed to integrate different curriculum areas and to be a non-traditional, multi-aged experience for students. The cost of the one-week course includes all tuition and fees. Kid’s College hours are 9 am - 3 pm Monday-Friday with options for full day or half day.

We anticipate that sessions will fill quickly. Since they are first-come/first-serve, please register as soon as possible for the session your child would like to attend. After turning in the completed Registration and Terms of Enrollment/Release Form with full payment, parents will receive a receipt to serve as confirmation of camp registration.

Registration forms can be turned in online, turned into the front office, or emailed to kwalker@holyfamilycs.org. Scholars will be placed in the sessions on a first-come basis until the session has reached its maximum enrollment.
