By taking part in the morning circles together, police officers got to know a bit more about their community’s students, while students got to see their community’s police officers in a more personal light than they otherwise might. We’re so appreciative of our cooperative relationships with our community police departments, and we look forward to continuing our partnerships with each moving forward.
Celebrating CCSD93's Years of Service Milestone Staff Members
This week, we publicly honor our staff members who are celebrating significant years of service milestones with the District this year. The staff members below have dedicated significant portions of their careers and lives to serving our students and our community. Their efforts enable CCSD93 to achieve our mission of maximizing the academic, social and emotional potential of each student. I am grateful for all they have done and continue to do for our students. Please join me in congratulating and thanking them for their service.
Tracking Updated Guidance, Planning for 2021-22 & Upcoming Student Vaccination Opportunities
As you are likely aware, throughout the past two weeks there have been significant updates to COVID-19 guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), including the approval of the Pfizer vaccine to individuals as young as 12 and the loosening of mask restrictions for those who have been fully vaccinated. While this is unlikely to impact our operations for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year, CCSD93 will continue to closely track the updates as they are announced. We will rely on this information in concert with additional forthcoming guidelines from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) in planning for the 2021-22 school year.

Please know, we are hopeful to offer another COVID-19 vaccination clinic in the coming weeks, this time for students and other community members as young as 12 (with parent permission, of course). We are in the final stages of planning, so please watch for more information soon. In the meantime, if you are interested in vaccination for individuals 12 and older:
  • The Bloomingdale Park District is offering a vaccination clinic that is open to anyone 12 and older this evening (Friday, May 14), which, as of the writing of this message, you can sign up for here.
  • The Lombard Park District is offering a vaccination clinic that is open to anyone 12 and older on Friday, May 21 at Madison Meadow Athletic Center in Lombard, which you can sign up for here.
  • The Glendale Heights Park District is offering a vaccination clinic that is open to anyone 12 and older on Monday, May 24 at the Sports Hub in Glendale Heights, which you can sign up for here.
