Making History In Frisco

Chad Estis, Senior Vice President of Sales & Booking for the Dallas Cowboys joined the Frisco Chamber of Commerce's Government Affairs Committee Meeting last Friday. "I think the city (of Frisco) operates differently than most. It feels very entrepreneurial. It feels very pro-business. It's been very welcoming and it feels like a real spirit of partnership". Chad goes on to talk about the history being made with the partnership with Frisco ISD.

Expedite Construction of the Lower Bois d'Arc Creek 
The Governmental Affairs Committee and the Frisco Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has approved a resolution in support of actions to expedite construction of the Lower Bois d'Arc Creek reservoir.  "Unfortunately, North Texas is facing one of the most critical water supply situations in our country today.  We're going to have more people than our water resources can support.  And rationing water is a near certainty...especially if things don't change now," stated U.S. Congressman, Sam Johnson. Leadership Frisco Application Deadline Nears
The Leadership Frisco Advisory Council is now accepting applications for the 2016-2017 year for Leadership Frisco Class 20. Perhaps you know someone that would be a good fit for this program. Leadership Frisco is a nine-month community leadership program sponsored by the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. The purpose is to develop a pool of qualified, highly motivated individuals who are interested in expanding their leadership skills, deepening their sense of civic responsibility, and becoming more involved in their community as a whole.  The Leadership Frisco Class XX Application is due on June 3 by 5:00 PM.

"The [Frisco] Chamber of Com merce has been incredibly welcoming to us and there are a lot of exciting things happening, particularly with the Cowboys facility and the growth that is occurring in the $5 Billion Mile," said Bill Withall, Director of the Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business and Management.

If the center has a successful launch, the school will look for a permanent location, with Frisco being seriously considered. Read More...
