Nassau County
Bar Association

May 29, 2020

Dear NCBA Members:

They say the most important thing an Immediate Past President can do is give plenty of space for the new Administration to establish itself. The pandemic imposed extraordinary demands on NCBA leadership, both personally and professionally, and it is now time for me to turn over the daily duties required.

One of the many ways in which NCBA membership brings value is in expanding the network of mutual case referrals. As more court activities resume, I look forward to rebuilding my law office caseload. Although some firms experienced little disruption in workflow, litigation-heavy practices like mine suffered these past months. We deeply appreciate all the state and federal criminal defense cases (even the traffic tickets!) and personal injury matters that NCBA members have referred to us over the years, especially of late. Always feel free to contact me 24/7 if you need help in these areas by email to Rcollins@cgmbesq.com or by phone at (516) 294-0300.

This is my last e-blast as NCBA President. But I won’t be far away. My office is a few blocks from Domus, and I’ll be back at Domus to see you all as soon as it re-opens. I deeply miss so very many of you, both members and staff. Serving as NCBA President has been one of the crowning achievements of my professional career. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Regards,

Rick Collins
