Hello ACHE Friends!

Our 86th Annual International Conference is coming up fast. It’s taking place in Palm Springs, California on October 14-16. The theme is “Fostering Care and Collaboration Through a Culture of Wellness”.

The best part of collaborating is meeting people with whom you can collaborate. Having been a part of ACHE since 2011, there are many long-time friends I can’t wait to see. To my extra delight, there are new friends who feel like long-time friends who I can’t wait to see, too. All of these connections have helped me answer questions for my institution’s leadership, provide insights into program offerings and recommend business partners who have served them well. They make me more successful in my job and they make me look good, too.

There are long-time and new business partners to connect with as well. They provide critical support to ACHE and our member institutions. We couldn’t do our work without them. Be sure to stop by their booths to meet them and discover how they can help your programs. They are here to help you, so discover how they can do that.

Check out the schedule so you can start planning your meetups. If you know of colleagues who need to attend and take advantage of the opportunities offered during our conference, let them know that registration is still open.

Can’t wait to see you in Palm Springs!

Join us for the Pre-Conference Workshop: Advancing Enrollment and Attainment through Credit for Prior Learning on Sunday, October 13, from 1 pm to 4 pm, where we will delve into the transformative power of recognizing experiential learning as college credit. This half-day workshop promises an engaging exploration of Credit for Prior Learning (CPL), featuring esteemed presenters from the University of Louisville, University of Memphis, and Shasta College. These experts will share invaluable insights on policies and practices that honor learning beyond traditional classrooms. Participants will actively engage in meaningful discussions about effective CPL models and strategies, focusing on program development, gaining faculty support, and creating inclusive practices for adult learners. This is your opportunity to enhance your institution’s approach to CPL and leave with actionable strategies to implement impactful programs.
