1. ZACH Theatre Presents A Christmas Carol

'Tis the season as ZACH Theatre's unique adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol returns to the stage at the Topfer. Sit back and enjoy a modern take on the classic Victorian story with a score spanning all genres and eras of holiday spirit. As Broadway World said, "This classic story as told by ZACH never disappoints!"

2. Inspired Minds Art Center's Buda Holiday Bazaar

The holiday shopping season has arrived, and the Buda Holiday Bazaar will have the perfect selection of handmade fine arts and crafts curated by local creatives for you to fill up your stockings. The Inspired Minds Art Center will be decked out from floor to ceiling with the best holiday gifts.


Get jolly this Friday for the bazaar's grand opening night, and enjoy a first look at the gallery while supporting Central Texas artisans. The gallery will also have complimentary cocktails and chocolate on tap as you shop. There will also be a special Artists Sunday event on November 26.


Entry is free, but patrons must RSVP to the grand opening event.

3. Austin Symphony Orchestra: Beethoven y Amigos

Join the Austin Symphony Orchestra this weekend at the Long Center as the Masterworks series continues with a performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 6.


In addition to presenting this pastoral masterpiece, Peter Bay will conduct the orchestra through emotional pieces of past and present with guest trumpeter Mary Elizabeth Bowden. These selections include Julian Orbón's Tres versiones sinfónicas, Reena Esmail's Rosa de Sal, and Clarice Assad's Bohemian Queen.


Enjoy this convergence of classical and modern music that promises to deliver memorable melodies!

4. Beerthoven Concert Series: Carna-Fall

Tango your way down to Brazil and Argentina with cold beer and warm pastries in hand as Beerthoven presents Carna-Fall. The concert features El choclo by Ángel Villoldo and Odeon by Ernesto Nazareth, celebrating tango and choro rhythms. The show welcomes Duo-B, a violin and cello pairing from Waco.


Arrive 30 minutes early and catch music theorist Dr. John Turci-Escobar from UT's Butler School of Music discussing tango music. The show won't stop, as magician Dylan Love performs during intermissions.


Tickets cost $25, and student tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or in advance by emailing daniel@beerthoven.com. Friday and Sunday's shows are located at Saengerrunde Hall, and Saturday's performance is at Esquina Tango.

5. Merry Grinchmas: Holiday Kick-Off Event

Start your holiday festivities with Domain Northside's Grinchmas this Saturday. Presented by the Texas Children's Hospital, activities include meeting the iconic Grinch himself, a bracelet bar, caricature artists, face painting, and a hair tinsel studio all accompanied by classic holiday tunes. This Christmas will not come without ribbons, tags, packages, boxes, or bags - get into the spirit!


Be sure to stay for the official tree lighting at 5:30 pm. Entry is FREE!
