Caring for the Whole Person



On Giving Tuesday we know you have choices. Please take a few minutes to learn about the impact choosing NBCR will have.

#1. Your donation will really make a difference.

We are an all volunteer organization supported solely through donations and grants. Your gift will go directly to supporting people in our community affected by cancer in three important ways:

1. Expand access for people with cancer to services such as massage, reiki, acupuncture, health coaching, guided imagery and more through our Gift Certificate program. Gift certificates are awarded at our Speaker Series events and through a collaboration with Anna Jaques Cancer Center.
2. Provide inspiration and enhance the healing journey of people with a cancer diagnosis and their loved ones by continuing our FREE monthly online Speaker Series, giving them the opportunity to learn about and experience practices that enhance their well-being.
3. Help people in our community with cancer find the support they need in a difficult time by maintaining and growing the NBCR website. This comprehensive and trustworthy one-of-a-kind directory offers guidance to options such as support groups and organizations, community and online resources as well as practitioners of healing therapies that, research has shown, help alleviate with the effects of cancer and the side-effects of treatment.

#3. What we've done

Since our Speaker Series and Gift Certificate programs started in 2020 we have:

• Delivered 18 Speaker Series events to over 250 attendees. Among the topics presented are: Writing for Stress Relief and Wellness, Acupressure for Calm, Easy Yoga Home Care for Relief, Fighting Cancer in the Kitchen, Spiritual Approaches to Illness, Finding Ease Through Simple Meditation Practices, Guided Imagery, Tips for Improving Your Balance, Heal Your Whole Self and many more...
• Awarded 71 gift certificates valued at $100 each. Gift certificates may be redeemed for a variety of supportive services such as massage, reiki, acupuncture, health coaching, guided imagery and visualization, manual lymph drainage and meals.
• Donated 10 grocery Gift cards valued at $50 each. Cancer often takes a financial toll so NBCR provided Market Basket gift cards to the Anna Jaques Cancer Center to help with expenses during the holidays.
