Hello Every Bunny!
For some silly reason, I've been so enamored with rabbits this year. However, as a gardener I know that rabbits can be annoying and often damaging to plants. Keeping them out of gardens can be quite challenging.
Tips to keep bunnies at bay:
- Remove thickets, wood piles and other clutters
- Bush hog/mow open areas, nearby fields and meadows
- Enclose garden areas with a 3 foot tall fence (chicken wire works good) plus bury an additional 8 to 12 inches into the ground (bunnies dig too)
- Spray areas they are eating plants with garlic or pepper oils
-
Planting deer tolerant plants helps as they don't like many of the same plants
