5 Ways to Keep Your Bill Down this Winter
  1. Lower your thermostat and dress a little warmer.
  2. If you have zonal heat, heat only the rooms you actively use.
  3. Clean or replace your furnace filters regularly.
  4. Don't block heater registers.
  5. Use space heaters wisely.

Be Ready for Storms and Power Outages

Winter storms sometimes lead to power outages. Here are some suggestions to help keep you safe if the power goes out at your house.

  • Call us at (503) 397-1844 to report your outage.
  • Turn on a front porch light switch to help let our crews know when power is restored.
  • Always stay away from downed power lines.

See what else you can do to stay safe and comfortable during an outage.

LEDs Provide Great Light at a Low Cost

Switching from incandescent bulbs to LEDs is a simple way to lower your electric bill.

LED light bulbs use about two-thirds less energy than old-fashioned incandescent bulbs. They also last much longer.

Cut Heating Costs with a Ductless Heat Pump
A man controls his ductless heat pump from the comfort of his couch.

Ductless heating systems can heat your home more efficiently than baseboard or wall heaters. Ductless systems also provide cooling in the summer months.

We offer rebates for qualifying installations of ductless systems: $800 for approved installations in existing homes and $500 for approved installations in site-built homes. You must heat your home with electricity to be eligible for the rebate.

See the details of our ductless heat pump rebate program.

Rebate for Electric Vehicle Chargers

Customers who install an Electric Vehicle charging station may be eligible for a rebate.

We are offering a $50 rebate for customers who install a Level 2 EV charger. The charger must be 240V or higher and it must be installed at the address of a current CRPUD customer.

See details about this rebate program.
