At a time in my family’s life when our mother needed to be relocated into an assisted living community, “Trusted Senior Placement” was there for us and her. They are very knowledgeable, kind, caring, and compassionate. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you Teresa for everything.

The month May was named for Maia, the Greek goddess of fertility. In any given year, no month ever begins or ends on the same day of the week as May does. May was once considered a bad luck month to get married. There is a poem that says “Marry in May and you'll rue the day.”

Greetings!
This month we are appreciating our mothers for giving us life, at the least. Shaping our world, guiding and loving us unconditionally, at the best. When you think about it, it is a miracle we were born at all. Even if the circumstances were tough, I think we all agree we are glad our mother’s gave us the gift of life. A big THANK YOU, to all those mothers and/or the mothers who loved us, sacrificed for us and reared us!
Speaking of mothers, if we listened to them…we have probably staved off Alzheimer’s disease by brushing and keeping good oral hygiene. For those who would appreciate better motivation, check out the article below linking flossing and avoiding this dreaded disease. While we are on the subject of health, older seniors can have some easily overlooked barriers to making the most of their personal hygiene. This can lead to unwanted consequences. Get the full details below and help your senior loved one live their best, and healthiest life!

On Mother’s Day, you should honor your mom by being creative and festive. Regardless if you stay at home or participate in a fun outing, the objective is to appreciate your mother.
|
Don't forget to floss: New research adds to evidence linking gum disease with Alzheimer's disease.
The mouth is home to both harmful bacteria that promote inflammation and healthy, protective bacteria, the study authors explained.

If you care for an elderly parent, spouse, friend or other loved one, you know that physical and mental decline can affect every aspect of their life, including their personal hygiene.
Trouble moving, memory loss and changes in their vision and sense of smell can all stop seniors from taking care of their personal hygiene properly. Or, they may be aware of it, but feel too embarrassed to ask for help.
