Over the past few years consumers, advocates, and the media, have raised allegations of racial bias in the appraisal process. The Biden Administration has been deeply involved in assessing these claims and determining if changes needed to be made on the national level. This forum brings together key players in the discussion of appraisal bias, representing the federal government and the appraisal regulatory apparatus. Panelists will speak on what they have found in their research and next steps in addressing bias in the appraisal process.
